"Rookie label ‘Tumble Audio’ drop their second EP since their forming in November of last year, and these guys are already turning heads and forcing people take note. Their debut release came in the form of Killjoys’ XTC EP, a wild set of tribal-influenced bass music coated in unique genre-meshed energy, that gained instant support from the likes of Marcus Nasty the EP proved to be one that set the Tumble Audio name firmly in the heads of bass music lovers nationwide.

Majora has been releasing tunes for a few years now, previously known as Bandicoot with an EP released on Mindstep Music in 2011, Majora stepped onto the ‘bass’ scene last year with a MASSIVE collaboration with My Nu Leng on 877 Records. Proving to be on of the most noticeable up-and-coming DJ/Producers in the scene, Majora has kicked out any chance of defining his productions to one sound, with this release being a some-what techno-influenced, bass heavy EP oozing with a grimey attitude.

Taking influence from a wide range of underground sounds, Majora creates a heavy vibe that manages to please not only the dance-floor crew, but those screw faced rude-boy types too. Boss Key is the shining light in the release package for me, not least because it makes the biggest statement. Starting almost siren like, it builds to eerie melodies and bounding bass drums reminiscent of the darker side to UKG. Then like a slap to the face, the sample hits and the drop melts faces. The bass-line is big and brash, chopping and changing to keep up with the ever evolving rhythm of the track.

Shook is another one that instantly gets put down as a dance-floor weapon. A great example of Majoras’ influences brought together to create a unique style that is sure to shake up storm in any genre people wish to pigeon-hole it to. With clear hip-hop influences, this funky bass riddim is high velocity and sure to set venues a-light.

Next up is Satisfied, it’s funky drums keep an up-beat tempo only to be smothered by deep grimey bass lines reminiscent of early techno. Soulful vocal licks and great, almost unnoticeable FX work add a lush sex appeal to this dark yet vibrant feet shuffler.

Finally we come to Just Listen, smooth and slick the track is completely at odds with the rest of the release package. However, it doesn’t take away from its’ fantastic composition and clear reiteration of the Tumble sound. A fusion minimalist techno and tribal sounds, this conscious beat is one for the people that dance til dawn…

Altogether Boss Key EP is a class release that has been receiving a wide range of support, you’d be mad to miss anything Majora & Tumble Audio output in future!"
